Currently, CFM spans 32 countries, including powerhouses like England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and emerging football nations such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, and the USA, to name just a few. Each country's league is structured into four divisions. At season's end, the top three teams from Divisions 2, 3, and 4 earn promotion, while the bottom three from Divisions 1, 2, and 3 face relegation.
Alongside the league, each country hosts a national cup tournament, open to all teams and run on a knockout basis. The cream of the crop from each country advances to two prestigious international tournaments: the Cup of Cups, featuring national cup finalists, and the ultimate prize, the Cup of Champions, reserved for the top two teams from the premier division of each country.
As a manager, you'll start with a squad of 19 players, with 11 automatically selected to play. You have the flexibility to adjust positions and lineups. Success on the pitch translates into more fans and higher ticket sales, which you can reinvest in stadium upgrades to boost capacity and revenue.
In the transfer market, you can buy and sell players, coaches, scouts, and physiotherapists. If nurturing young talent is your strategy, consider building and enhancing your academy, which will produce two promising young players at the end of each season.
Facilities such as fitness centers, training grounds, and a theory center enhance player workouts, while a high-quality physio center speeds up recovery. In the training section, assign players to sessions and select training types with the help of coaches. Higher-level coaches accelerate skill development, but be wary of over-training, which can lead to exhaustion and injuries.
