For years, the console rivalry and the exclusive nature of blockbuster games have fueled countless discussions. One perennial debate has centered on a single question: Which racing series stands out—Xbox’s Forza or PlayStation’s Gran Turismo? While many players could not invest in both systems, the landscape is shifting. Now, PlayStation fans can finally settle that argument on their own terms.
Forza Horizon 5 is heading to PS5. The news broke via social media, a product page is already live on the PlayStation Store, and the wait won’t be too lengthy. The expected launch window is Spring 2025, though a specific release date has yet to be confirmed.
Panic Button is handling the PS5 adaptation, with support from Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. In terms of features, the PS5 edition will match other platforms and will participate in cross-platform multiplayer.
In addition, a free expansion called Horizon Realms is in development for all platforms. Attendees of the Horizon festival will be able to revisit a curated list of beloved destinations from Evolving Worlds, along with a few surprises bundled into the update.
