Boxville Debuts Rabbit's Hop Demo for Puzzle Game Boxville Studios, the independent game developer known for its charming and inventive titles, has officially launched a playable demo for their upcoming puzzle-platformer Rabbit's Hop. The demo, now available on Steam and itch.io, offers players a taste of the game’s whimsical world, tight mechanics, and heartfelt narrative. Set in the sunny, cobbled village of Hopscotch Hollow, Rabbit's Hop follows the journey of Pip, a small but spirited rabbit with an extraordinary ability: he can bounce through time. With each hop, Pip briefly rewinds or fast-forwards parts of the environment, allowing players to manipulate physics, avoid traps, and solve intricate puzzles in creative ways. The demo features three fully realized levels showcasing the core gameplay loop: The Clockwork Garden: A whimsical maze where time-bending hops are essential to reassemble broken fountains and unlock hidden paths. The Storied Hollow: A puzzle-heavy level that uses temporal echoes to reveal alternate versions of the world and uncover secrets. The Final Hop: A climactic challenge that tests players’ mastery of timing and spatial reasoning. “Rabbit’s Hop was born from our love of classic platformers and our desire to create something emotionally resonant,” said Lead Designer Lila Moss. “We wanted players to feel the joy of discovery and the warmth of connection—just like a real rabbit hopping through life, one joyful leap at a time.” The demo also includes a behind-the-scenes dev diary, showcasing the art direction inspired by hand-drawn storybooks, and an original soundtrack composed by indie musician Theo Finch, blending acoustic melodies with playful electronic flourishes. Rabbit’s Hop is scheduled for full release in Q3 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The demo will remain available until the full launch.
