This thrilling new series comes in celebration of the 20th anniversary of *Avatar: The Last Airbender*, crafted by the original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.
*Avatar: Seven Havens* is set to be a 26-episode, 2D animated series that will follow the journey of a young Earthbender, the next Avatar after Korra. According to the press release from Nickelodeon, the series unfolds in a world torn apart by a devastating cataclysm. This new Avatar discovers her destiny in a time where her role is perceived as a harbinger of destruction rather than salvation. As she navigates this perilous world, she's hunted by both human and spirit enemies. Alongside her long-lost twin, they embark on a quest to unravel their mysterious origins and prevent the collapse of the Seven Havens, the last bastions of civilization.
DiMartino and Konietzko shared their excitement about this expansion of the Avatarverse, stating, “When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters.”
*Avatar: Seven Havens* will be structured into two seasons, each comprising 13 episodes, forming a Book 1 and Book 2. DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creating the series with executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi. Although no cast has been announced yet, anticipation is high for this new chapter in the *Avatar* saga.
This series marks the first mainline TV project from Avatar Studios, who are also busy developing a full-length animated movie centered on Aang. Scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, the movie will showcase adult Aang embarking on a new adventure.
