Lenovo Legion Go S: SteamOS on a Handheld
Lenovo's contribution to the handheld gaming scene is the Legion Go S, the world's first officially licensed SteamOS handheld. Announced January 7th, 2025, this device boasts an 8-inch VRR1-supported screen, TrueStrike controllers with adjustable triggers and hall-effect joysticks, and seamless cloud save and remote play functionality.
Full Steam ecosystem integration, including access to the Steam library, cloud, chat, and game recording, is a key feature. The SteamOS-powered Legion Go S will launch in May 2025 at $499.99 USD. A Windows version will precede it, launching in January 2025, starting at $729.99 USD.
Valve also confirmed ongoing efforts to bring SteamOS compatibility to other handheld devices.
