Operator

Machinist
The Machinist starts with a bonus in Engineer, base levels in Interface and Intuit, and lacks Endure. Engage is unlevelable. Their ability allows them to spend Stress for a +2 bonus to their lowest die, also reducing Stress on positive outcomes. This ability improves significantly as the game progresses.
The Machinist proved highly effective in my playthrough, particularly useful for overcoming challenging situations. The initial ability to reduce Stress is a significant advantage. This class is ideal for players focused on the game's technical and mechanical aspects.
Extractor
The Extractor begins with a bonus in Endure, base levels in Engineer and Engage, and no Interface skill. Intuit is unlevelable. Their ability allows them to spend Stress to add +2 to their crew's lowest die, an ability that enhances crew performance on Contracts.
The Extractor's ability is highly beneficial for mitigating contract risks. The starting Endure bonus is also advantageous given the game's frequent Endure checks. However, an abundance of crew members skilled in Endure and Engage might lessen the class's unique advantage. This class suits players who prefer a more physically robust and crew-focused approach.
