How To Upgrade Weapons In Freedom Wars Remastered
Upgrading your arsenal in Freedom Wars Remastered is straightforward once you reach Level 002 Code Clearance in the main story. At this point, CODE 2 Sinners gain access to the Facility Management Function through the Personal Responsibility Portal. Head to the Weapon Development Facility to manage and upgrade your weapons.
To upgrade, you'll need specific resources and Entitlement Points, but you can reduce these costs by enlisting a Citizen. Each Citizen offers different reduction rates based on their Facility Manager Aptitude, making the system easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
Before you finalize an upgrade, you'll see a preview of the changes to your weapon's stats. The Weapon Development Facility also allows you to add Elements and experiment with Modules and Module Slots. To reach higher Grades, purchase the required permit from the Claim Entitlement tab on the Window of Liberty.
Should You Upgrade Weapons In Freedom Wars Remastered?
In the early stages of the main story, missions don't yield high-Grade weapons as rewards. Although you can buy weapons and combat items from Zakka in The Warren, most are limited to Grade Level 1, making upgrades essential. One of your CODE 3 Exams requires obtaining higher Grade Development Facility Permits, allowing you to upgrade any weapon to your preference and donate Low-Grade weapons found during missions for a reduced sentence and additional Entitlement Points.
The first upgrade at the Weapon Development Facility unlocks the "In Search of the Strongest Weapon" trophy/achievement, with more achievements tied to the upgrading system, making it a must for trophy hunters. The significant damage difference between weapons of different Grades underscores the importance of dedicating time to improve your gear.
Additionally, later in the game, players can access the Ability Development Facility within Facility Management, further enhancing their capabilities.
