CrazyGames is launching its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. This exciting 10-day event is a global game development marathon and is being held in partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider. Indie developers are invited to participate and showcase their skills in creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants will have the chance to compete for a total of €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses. The available licenses include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500)
- 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500)
- 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100)
The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to let their creativity flourish.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has grown to become the most popular platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to deliver smooth, browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will support participants throughout the event and offer the chance for winning games to be published on their platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream will be hosted on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, commented, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
