The Blade Phantom emerges amidst the eerie echoes of ghostly voices, challenging you in a castle where crimson liquid floods the floors. This boss is known for its relentless attacks, testing your ability to manage stamina and aggression. The fight unfolds with several distinct combos:
- A six-hit combo featuring four punches and two kicks, with the second kick delayed for a deceptive strike.
- A three-hit combo consisting of two punches and a downward kick.
- A four-hit combo beginning with a right hook followed by two kicks, culminating in a leaping kick smash.
- A three-hit combo of flashing punches, ending in a grab that requires quick dodging.
Beyond these melee assaults, the Blade Phantom can summon a giant hammer, causing damage and spawning red spikes in front of it. If it opts for a spear, prepare for a swift throw and a subsequent teleporting smash. When wielding a blade, it unleashes a swift six-hit combo. It can also vanish, dashing around the battlefield before striking.

In the second phase, the Blade Phantom initiates with four claw attacks followed by a high-altitude spear throw. Evade the spear's landing zone and brace for a leaping swipe. Subsequent attacks include three greatsword slashes and a concluding hammer smash.
Alongside the new claw attacks, the Blade Phantom maintains most of its previous moves, with additions like a spear thrust and follow-up, and rapid dual-wielding sequences. It teleports more often now, and when armed with the greatsword, watch for multiple slashes followed by a Burst Attack, indicated by a red P-like symbol. To counter this, use the Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to parry, restoring your stamina and exposing the boss to further damage.
Exploit the moments when the Blade Phantom's stamina is depleted to launch Brutal Attacks, but wait until the window is nearly closed to maximize damage. Upon defeating the boss, you'll earn 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear items, a Shieldsman's Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
