Freedom Wars Remastered: Enhanced Gameplay and New Features Revealed
A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases the game's revamped gameplay and control systems, offering a fresh look at this dystopian action RPG. Players will once again battle colossal mechanical creatures, upgrade their equipment, and tackle challenging missions.
The remastered version boasts significant enhancements, including vastly improved visuals, faster-paced action, and a streamlined crafting system. Freedom Wars Remastered launches January 10th on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.
Originally conceived as a response to Capcom's move of the Monster Hunter franchise to Nintendo platforms, Freedom Wars (for PS Vita) offered a similar gameplay loop in a futuristic setting. Players fight giant mechanical adversaries known as Abductors, collect their components, and upgrade their gear to improve combat effectiveness. This core gameplay remains, significantly improved.
The new trailer details these enhancements. It opens by introducing the protagonist, a "Sinner" condemned for the crime of being born, navigating a resource-depleted world. Missions, undertaken to benefit their Panopticon (city-state), range from citizen rescue and Abductor destruction to capturing control systems. These missions are playable solo or cooperatively online.

- Deadly Sinner Difficulty: A challenging new difficulty mode caters to veteran players.
- Complete DLC Inclusion: All customization DLC from the original PS Vita release is included from the outset.
