Fortnite is set to immerse players in a galaxy far, far away with its upcoming season, Galactic Battle, launching on May 2, 2025. This season promises an exciting blend of Star Wars elements, including a specially designed Star Wars-themed Battle Pass and a five-part saga filled with thrilling surprises. One of the most unexpected additions is Darth Jar Jar, who will be joining the Battle Royale, adding a unique twist to the game's roster.
The announcement came during the Star Wars Celebration, where attendees were treated to a sneak peek of the Star Wars-themed content coming next month. Among the highlights is the introduction of Force Lightning as a new in-game ability, allowing players to harness the power of the dark side.

Further details revealed include Emperor Palpatine and unique mashups like Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader featured in the Battle Pass. The Item Shop will see new additions such as Mace Windu, and players will have the opportunity to pilot and co-pilot iconic Star Wars vehicles like X-Wings and TIE Fighters. Themed map locations will also enhance the immersive Star Wars experience.
The five-part saga, each with its own theme, is scheduled as follows:
- Imperial Takeover – May 2, 2025
- The Pull of the Force – May 8, 2025
- Mandalorian Rising – May 22, 2025
- Star Destroyer Bombardment – May 29, 2025
- Death Star Sabotage – June 7, 2025
This saga will build up to an in-game narrative live event, promising an experience where players will feel as though they hold the fate of the entire galaxy in their hands.
