Jump King, the notorious 2D platformer known for turning gamers into rage-quit aficionados, has now made its leap onto mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has been released worldwide for Android and iOS following a successful soft launch in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark earlier this year in March. Initially launched on PC in 2019 and consoles in 2020, Jump King brings its trademark challenging jumping mechanics to the mobile platform.
What’s Jump King on Mobile Like?
In Jump King, you embody an armored knight whose sole mission is to jump. Sounds simple? Think again. The game demands pinpoint precision with each leap, as a single misstep sends you tumbling back to the start. Every jump is autosaved, ratcheting up the tension with each attempt. Your ultimate goal is to reach the summit and meet the Smoking Hot Babe of Legend. But beware: there are no shortcuts here. A poorly timed jump can undo all your progress, forcing you to start from the ground up.
The mobile version has been meticulously adapted to ensure the controls remain accurate. You charge your jump by holding down the screen and release to soar. It’s a game that tests your precision and patience, often pushing you to the brink of panic and poor decision-making.
What Else Should You Know?
Jump King Mobile operates on a heart-based system. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one each time you fall. To replenish your supply, you can spin a daily fortune wheel to win between 10 and 150 hearts or watch ads for up to 150 free hearts when you run out.
The mobile edition also includes two full expansions. New Babe+ introduces a second chapter with a unique and intense new path, while Ghost of the Babe plunges you into an eerie third act set beyond the Philosopher’s Forest in a hauntingly empty landscape.
If this sounds intriguing, you can download Jump King from the Google Play Store.
