PlayStation and Xbox consoles smoothly handle both 30fps and 60fps options, with the PS5 Pro demonstrating enhanced graphical capabilities. KCD2's unique photorealistic rendering, achieved through the use of CryTek's CryEngine, sets it apart from many other titles.
Warhorse Studios' continued use of CryEngine, following its success with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 (KCD1), leverages their existing expertise and allows for significant feature enhancements in the sequel. Despite this "old-school" approach, KCD2 achieves photorealism through physically based materials.
