Marvel Rivals Season 1: Free Skins and New Characters
NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls (January 10 - April 11, 2025) offers players a generous helping of free and purchasable content. The season kicks off with free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins available via the battle pass. These aren't locked behind the premium tier; they're earnable through gameplay.
The Fantastic Four are also making their debut. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are immediately available, with Human Torch and The Thing slated for a mid-season update. Leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist and The Thing a Vanguard class.
Free Cosmetic Rewards:
- Peni Parker: Unlock the "Blue Tarantula" skin (page 3 of the battle pass), featuring a striking sky blue and white design for both her suit and mech.
- Scarlet Witch: Obtain the "Emporium Matron" skin (page 9), showcasing a crimson dress with purple accents and a unique cosmic animation. A free emote is also available, but the MVP animation requires the premium battle pass.
- Thor: A free Thor skin is obtainable via the Midnight Features event by completing specific in-game quests.
The standard battle pass costs 990 Lattice (approximately $10), unlocking additional rewards. However, numerous cosmetic items are free to earn through quest completion and Chrono Token acquisition.
New Shop Skins:
Beyond the free offerings, the in-game shop features villainous-themed skins for Invisible Woman ("Malice," black and red with spiked accents) and Mister Fantastic ("The Maker," dark gray and blue with a masked appearance).
