Monster Hunter Wilds: PC Benchmark & New Specs Revealed

Author : Zoe Mar 12,2025

Get ready to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here, and Capcom has just released a PC benchmark tool on Steam to help you see if your rig is ready for the action. Even better, they've also lowered the official PC system requirements!

Capcom's new benchmark tool is a quick and easy way to check your system's compatibility. While it compiles shaders on load, the process is straightforward. It's especially useful now that the system requirements have been updated.

Previously, hitting 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation required some serious hardware: an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT; an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU; and a hefty 16GB of RAM.

But good news! The updated requirements are significantly more accessible:

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB SSD (required)

These specs should get you smooth 1080p 60fps gameplay with Frame Generation enabled, according to Capcom. That's a welcome change for many players!

Early benchmark results show noticeable performance improvements compared to the beta, especially with Frame Generation. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains questionable. While some high-end PCs passed with ease, the Deck didn't fare so well in initial testing.

Another significant change is the storage requirement. The game now only needs 75GB of SSD space, down from the previously announced 140GB. This is a surprising reduction, especially given the trend of ever-increasing game sizes.
