Following its announcement in June 2020 and several teasers, skate. is finally open for console playtesting. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December 2023, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle continues to encourage registration, as development is actively ongoing.
To participate in the beta, visit EA's website and register on the skate. page. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This latest installment in the franchise, nearly a decade after Skate 3, will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
