Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins right in the heart of town, positioned across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and arming yourself. I recommend picking up a Rifle—it's a steal at $75 and packs enough punch to fend off enemies for a good while. Don't forget to stock up on coal to keep your boat's old-school engine running smoothly.

Your next destination is 10,000 meters away. Just fire up the engine and set sail. While you can stop to engage Zombies and Drowned for loot, it's not always worth it due to the sparse valuables in the houses along the route. To restart the ship, simply add more coal. Don't let the worm on the right side scare you. Hold onto your loot until the second safe zone to sell, but be cautious of Big Foot and Zombie mobs flanking the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with enemies. Clear them out if you're in a group, but solo players might find it inefficient due to scattered spawn points. At about 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like structure filled with Drowned, offering valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use it wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips and Tricks
The game's core loop is straightforward—kill, loot, repeat, and hope the enemy suffers defeat. To master this, leverage your boat as your main inventory. Unload your bag onto it to save time and space.

A key strategy I found useful is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Though it's tempting to rush out of those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking pays off. Running low on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator and you're set.

Keep an eye on Sheriff's offices, as they often house a high concentration of mobs but also offer substantial rewards like weapons and ammo. I kept my shotgun stocked by having a friend clear the ground floor while we explored each town.

Conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000 meters. It's still under construction, making it a prime spot for ambushes. I recommend tackling it with at least three others, ideally a full five-person team. Be efficient when collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet past 30,000 meters; they're tough, hit hard, and require a lot of ammo to take down safely. Plan your stops carefully; loot isn't everything.
The town beyond 50,000 meters is a prime farming spot with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. It's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading quickly.
How to Defeat the Kraken Boss in Dead Sails
Before facing the Kraken, sell everything in the final safe zone and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't go easy on the Zombies and Drowned; you'll need a stash of 8-10 corpses for fuel during the final stretch. Around 100,000 meters, you'll reach open waters and be ready to confront the beast. The sign of its approach is the skies darkening.

As the Kraken emerges, everyone must pick a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not repelled. With a five-person team, form a pentagram-like formation and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, an AoE attack signaled by the Kraken winding back and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, be mindful of the Roar AoE, which inflicts minor unblockable damage and seems to give the boss a slight damage boost. You'll see white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that uses this ability.

As you can see, defeating the Kraken isn't as tough as it might seem. That concludes my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed through the boss fight even faster, grab one of our Dead Sails codes and see how quickly you can conquer the seas. Good luck and smooth sailing!
