Application Description

This app, OPL DRC Reader, is designed to retrieve OBDII diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from Opel, Vauxhall, and Chevrolet vehicles manufactured after 2004 that use a CAN BUS (HS-CAN) system.

Supported Vehicles:

  • Opel/Vauxhall: Insignia, Astra J, Astra H (engine module only), Vectra C/Signum (engine module only). Other models are untested.
  • Chevrolet: Orlando, Cruze (untested). Other models are untested.
  • Other GM brands: Untested.

The app displays vehicle information such as VIN and engine code, along with a list of detected errors from the Engine Control Module (ECU), Body Control Module (BCM), and Transmission Control Module (TCM). Mileage retrieval from certain modules is also possible, depending on the vehicle.

Important Note:

A compatible ELM327 Bluetooth interface (version 1.3 or higher) is required. The app may not function correctly with low-quality ELM327 clones.
