Back to the Future Fans Wanting a Fourth Film? 'F**k You,' Says Co-Creator

Bob Gale, co-creator of the beloved Back to the Future trilogy, delivered a blunt message to fans yearning for a fourth installment: "F*** you."

In a candid interview with Yahoo, Gale, who penned all three films alongside Robert Zemeckis, emphatically stated that there are absolutely no plans for a continuation of the franchise's canon storyline. Responding to persistent inquiries about a Back to the Future 4, Gale, speaking backstage at the Saturn Awards, retorted with his expletive-laden response.

While Hollywood frequently embraces reboots and sequels, often with mixed results (witness the critical reception of The Matrix Resurrections and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Back to the Future, ironically, will remain firmly entrenched in its past.

The original 1985 film, featuring high schooler Marty McFly's time-traveling misadventures with the eccentric Doc Brown, achieved iconic status. However, its subsequent sequels, released in 1989 and 1990, received less enthusiastic acclaim.

Despite a three-decade hiatus, the franchise's legacy endures, not only through its cultural impact but also via a successful Broadway musical adaptation. Gale revealed plans for a stage production destined for Royal Caribbean Cruises and hinted at collaborating with Michael J. Fox on a book chronicling the actor's experiences with the franchise.
