After beating Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll find that the game's expansive world remains open for exploration. The game is filled with side content that you can continue to enjoy even after the main storyline concludes. This means you can fully immerse yourself in the rich setting of Feudal Japan at your own pace.
Moreover, Ubisoft plans to keep the game fresh with new weekly challenges added through the Animus post-launch. This ensures there's always something new to tackle, even if you've reached 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Finishing the main quest doesn't necessarily mean you've seen everything the story has to offer. In my experience, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, along with Yasuke and Naoe’s main quests. However, to unlock the epilogue and true ending, you need to complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and associated achievements.
Additionally, exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke become available near the game's end. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle and are sure to appeal to long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
As for endgame content, you can continue to level up and progress beyond the credits, all the way to the game's maximum level cap.

While the main story wraps up at launch, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will continue to evolve. New content will be added via the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji for over 10 hours of new adventures.
