Studio Wildcard has recently released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of exciting updates. The remastered version of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved, initially launched in early access in late November 2023 and has been receiving regular content updates since then.
On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, shared its updated roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first significant update isn't a new content drop but a crucial technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade is expected to bring substantial performance enhancements. Additionally, around the same time, Studio Wildcard plans to reintroduce support for Nvidia's frame generation, which was temporarily removed in late 2024 due to engine-related issues.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026
Period | Content |
---|---|
March 2025 | ASA Unreal Engine 5.5 update. |
April 2025 | Free Ragnarok Ascended, Bison (Free Creature), and a Fantastic Tame. |
June 2025 | A new premium map (to be announced). |
August 2025 | Free Valguero Ascended with a community-voted free creature, and Fantastic Tame. |
April 2026 | Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 & Bob's True Tales Part 1. |

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size. In April 2025, players can look forward to new content, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
Another new map is set to debut in June 2025 as paid DLC. Details about this map are expected to be revealed in early spring. Following this, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will be introduced in August 2025.
In 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is slated for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026, each accompanied by a segment of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop announced as part of the game's season pass. A remastered Fjordur map will be released as a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames will be rolled out throughout 2026.
While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises planned for ARK: Survival Ascended in the coming years.
