Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. To maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming environment, Capcom has issued a firm warning against cheating and the use of external tools.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This message underscores Capcom's commitment to a level playing field.
Moreover, Capcom cautioned that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face consequences, including invalid quest completion times and the loss of rewards for the entire party. The company advised players to avoid multiplayer sessions with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities and to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others depend on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the potential impact on rewards and completion times, Capcom's strict stance on cheating is understandable.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible via the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow, make sure to head straight to the Grand Hub. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
