Unlike the Witcher series (based on Andrzej Sapkowski's novels) and Cyberpunk 2077 (originating from a tabletop RPG), Project Hadar introduces a completely new CD Projekt universe. Specifics remain limited (excluding confirmation that it won't be a space horror), and until recently, development involved a smaller team of approximately twenty individuals.
Currently, the Hadar team is actively recruiting programmers, VFX artists, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. The "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" described by leading developers suggests a significant shift from initial conceptualization to full-fledged production.
CD Projekt Red is concurrently managing several projects. The largest team focuses on Project Polaris, the inaugural title in the new Witcher trilogy featuring Ciri. Additional teams are developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and another game within the Witcher universe.
