Changing Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds (Hunter and Palico)
Monster Hunter Wilds boasts a detailed character creator, enabling you to craft an avatar that closely resembles your real-life appearance. If you decide to tweak your character's look mid-game, you can do so easily. Once you've unlocked the base camp, head to your tent and navigate to the Appearance Menu by pressing L1 or R1. Select the "Change Appearance" option to revisit the character creator and adjust the appearance of both your Hunter and Palico.
How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor
The Layered Armor feature is available from the start of Monster Hunter Wilds. To access it, go to your tent, enter the Appearance Menu, and choose "Equipment Appearance." This allows you to customize your Hunter's outfit using the Layered Armor items you've unlocked. Note that you can't transmog your equipped armor with other armor types you've forged in the game.
There's also an option for "Palico Equipment Appearance," which lets you apply Layered Armor items to your Palico.
If the Layered Armor options don't meet your style, the only other way to change your outfit is by forging and equipping new armor. Keep in mind that each piece of equipment has different stats, so balancing fashion with functionality is crucial.
Seikret Customization
In the Appearance Menu, you'll find the "Seikret Customization" option. This feature allows you to modify your Seikret's skin and feather color, as well as adjust its pattern, decoration type, and eye color.
And that's how you can change your outfits and appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
