Infinity Nikki has announced compensation for the issues encountered in the release of version 1.5. Dive in to discover what players can expect to receive as a result of the game's shortcomings and what developer Infold Games has planned moving forward.
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates
Free Diamonds as Compensation
Infold Games launched version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki amid high expectations from fans, who were promised significant updates. Unfortunately, the studio failed to meet these expectations. In a Twitter (X) post dated May 18, Infold Games acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and offered compensation to players.
The update introduced numerous technical issues and bugs across various platforms, some of which made the game unplayable. Additionally, sudden changes were made to the game's systems, notably increasing the cost of 5-star outfits from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces. This change raised the maximum number of pulls required to complete an outfit to 220, making it more costly and time-consuming for players to acquire full sets.
A new dye system was also introduced, which players found confusing and cumbersome, requiring the unlocking of color palettes for each clothing item. The Threads of Reunion storyline was removed from this update as the associated outfit remains in development. Infold Games stated, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive 120 Diamonds and 1 Energy Crystal daily from June 5 to June 12, totaling 960 Diamonds and 8 Energy Crystals."
Despite this acknowledgment and compensation, the studio has not yet detailed its plans to address these issues. Fans expressed their concerns in the comments, focusing on the pity system changes, the flawed dye system, and other bugs.
Delayed Version 1.6
Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, the developers have decided to extend its duration to allow more time for fixing the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 is postponed until June 12, 2025, affecting the schedule of in-game events.
The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20, will now launch with version 1.6. Infold Games explained, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way
The developers are just beginning to address the myriad issues introduced by version 1.5. Infold Games stated, "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates."
To improve communication with players, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. This platform allows players to directly send their concerns and feedback to the developers via email, using the subject line "Table Advisor," or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expressed "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to making the game "shine brighter than ever."
