Marvel Rivals' Invisible Woman Exposes Potential Bot Problem

The newly released Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals is unintentionally highlighting a growing concern among players: the suspected presence of bots in matches. For weeks, players have debated the possibility of NetEase Games using low-level AI opponents to maintain player engagement. The recent addition of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in Season 1 has only intensified this discussion.

A Reddit user, barky1616, shared a video showcasing an unexpected tactic using Invisible Woman's invisibility. The video shows Sue Storm turning invisible and inexplicably blocking the path of several enemy team members simply by standing in front of them. These opponents don't attempt to circumvent her until she exits invisibility, suggesting a possible AI limitation. This unusual gameplay has fueled speculation about a significant bot problem in Marvel Rivals.

The theory is that bot opponents lack the awareness to navigate around an invisible obstacle. While replicating this tactic may yield varying results, the video itself is raising eyebrows within the community.

NetEase Games has yet to officially comment on the alleged bot issue. IGN has contacted NetEase for clarification.

Despite the bot controversy, Season 1's content update, including the Fantastic Four additions, has been generally well-received. The second half of the Fantastic Four, The Thing and Human Torch, are expected soon. In the meantime, players can explore the recent balance changes, NetEase's anti-mod measures, and the ongoing debate surrounding Reed Richards' portrayal in the game.
