LEGO Reveals Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Ahead of May the Fourth

Author : Madison May 15,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. These releases coincide with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with the launch of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, fans saw the release of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, LEGO is introducing Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known to Star Wars aficionados as Slave I, although the name was officially changed to Firespray Starship in 2021 at Disney's request to avoid the negative connotations associated with the term 'slave.' This rebranding appears to be permanent.

The last significant release of this iconic starship was in 2019, marking its 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set inspired by its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The latest iteration, boasting 2970 pieces, reflects its design from Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This new model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions of 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
