The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally dropped, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the film. We get our best look yet at Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen portraying the quirky alien Pleakley.
While previous teasers have showcased plenty of Stitch, this trailer shifts the spotlight to Kealoha, who steps into the shoes originally filled by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. Kealoha's portrayal promises to bring a fresh yet faithful take on the beloved character.
The trailer also introduces us to the dynamic between Cobra Bubbles and the alien duo, Jumba (played by Zach Galifianakis) and Pleakley. In a surprising twist, Jumba and Pleakley appear to be disguised as humans for part of the film, though we do catch a brief glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form.
Fans will be thrilled to see live-action renditions of iconic scenes from the original, such as Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his transformation to look more like a dog at the shelter, and the heartwarming moment when Lilo declares, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, adding to Disney's growing list of live-action remakes of cherished classics. It follows closely on the heels of the live-action *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
