Today's reveal highlights several unique features of the set, including the introduction of Summons, which are Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can summon for assistance in battle (check out Summon: Shiva in the gallery). Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, as evidenced by Cecil's transformation from Dark Knight to Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards, some illustrated by renowned artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set is designed to be fully draftable and Standard-legal, and it will launch alongside four preconstructed Commander decks, each themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will contain 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards reimagined with new Final Fantasy artwork. The set is scheduled to launch on June 13, promising an exciting addition to the Magic: The Gathering universe.
