Monster Hunter Wilds Surpassed 8 Million Units in 3 Days
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has shattered records by becoming Capcom's fastest-selling game, with sales exceeding 8 million units within three days of its launch. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, marking a historic moment for the company.
The game's success was initially highlighted by SteamDB, which reported that MH Wilds attracted over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this phenomenal sales performance to their dedicated marketing efforts, which included showcasing the game at international gaming events and conducting an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game's offerings firsthand.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, Monster Hunter Wilds has released a crucial update. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available on all platforms.
This patch tackles several bugs that were hindering gameplay, such as the inability to unlock the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features, issues with accessing the Monster Field Guide, and a critical bug that blocked story progression at Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.
However, not all issues have been resolved yet. Some bugs, including a network error triggered by firing an SOS flare post-quest start, and Palico's blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damage, remain unaddressed. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be fixed in upcoming patches.
