Pokémon GO Unveils New Tour Pass for Upcoming Unova Event
A new Tour Pass is launching in Pokémon GO, offering exciting rewards and milestones for the upcoming Unova event. Available from February 24th to March 9th, the pass allows players to progress through levels by earning Tour Points. These points are earned by completing various in-game tasks, including catching Pokémon and participating in raids.
The event builds upon the popular annual Pokémon GO Tour, this year focusing on the Unova region (Generation 5). Previous Tours have celebrated Kanto (2021) and Sinnoh (2022), introducing new shiny Pokémon and special variants.
A free Tour Pass will be available to all players. Leveling up unlocks various rewards, including candy and stickers, culminating in an encounter with a special Zorua. All rewards expire on March 9th at 6 pm local time.
Pokémon GO Announces Enhanced Event Experience with New Tour Pass
Alongside the free pass, a deluxe version will be offered for $14.99 (or $19.99 with 10 pre-unlocked ranks) on the Pokémon GO in-app store, from February 24th at 10 am to March 2nd at 6 pm local time. The deluxe pass includes all rewards from the free track, an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini, and a new Lucky Trinket item. This trinket guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting the Lucky Friend status afterward. Deluxe pass rewards, including the Lucky Trinket, also expire on March 9th at 6 pm local time.
This Unova Tour Pass adds further anticipation to the event, which features the debut of Kyurem (Black and White forms) via fusion, mirroring Necrozma's introduction in last year's Sinnoh Tour. Shiny Meloetta will also make its debut, accessible through a ticketed Masterwork Research.
