Death Stranding 2 introduces an innovative feature that allows players to bypass boss fights without engaging in combat, offering a visual novel-style experience instead. This article delves into this unique gameplay element and provides the latest updates on the game's development.
Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
In a groundbreaking move, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) introduces a feature designed to assist players who might find boss battles challenging. During the April 14 episode of the Koji Pro radio broadcast, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled that players will have the option to bypass boss fights.
Kojima detailed that upon failing a boss fight, players can choose to "continue" from the game over screen. This choice will allow them to skip the combat and proceed with the narrative. Instead of fighting, the game will present a visual novel-like sequence, featuring images and text that describe the battle. This innovative approach ensures that all players can experience the story's depth without the pressure of combat.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Hideo Kojima recently announced that Death Stranding 2 is approximately 95% complete. He likened the development stage to "10 o'clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, indicating that only about two hours of work remain before the game's completion.
Set to continue directly from the events of the first game, DS2 promises an engaging narrative. At last month's South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony showcased a 10-minute trailer. The trailer not only teased the game's storyline but also introduced new characters, sparking excitement among fans. Notably, a character resembling Solid Snake was spotted, along with other intriguing story elements and new gameplay features.
The presentation also unveiled details about DS2's collector's edition and pre-order bonuses. For those eager to learn more about pre-orders and additional downloadable content (DLC), check out our dedicated article below!
