GF 2 Exilium: Pity and Progression

Sunborn's Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, a free-to-play tactical RPG for PC and mobile, features gacha mechanics. A common question among players is whether the pity system carries over between banners. The short answer is: yes, for limited banners.

Pity Counter Transfer Between Limited Banners:

Your pity counter and pulls from one limited-time banner in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium will transfer to the next limited-time banner. This means progress made on one limited banner (like the simultaneous Suomi and Ullrid banners during global launch) accumulates across all active limited banners. If you're close to pity on one, you can switch to another and still benefit. This carryover continues even after banners rotate out; your pity progress will transfer to subsequent limited banners.

Pity Counter Does NOT Transfer Between Limited and Standard Banners:

However, this pity system does not extend to the standard gacha banner. Progress on the standard banner will not help you reach pity on a limited banner, and vice-versa.

Soft and Hard Pity:

While the hard pity is 80 pulls, a soft pity system begins at 58 pulls, gradually increasing your chances of obtaining an SSR unit until you reach hard pity.

This explanation clarifies the pity system's behavior in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium. For more game guides, including rerolling, tier lists, and locating the in-game mailbox, check out The Escapist.
