Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system set to launch with World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although this expansion follows The War Within as part of the Worldsoul saga, the early previews have sparked considerable anticipation among players due to the extensive customization options on offer.
A recent developer blog showcased in-game footage, demonstrating how furniture placement functions within the new system. Items effortlessly snap to a grid, facilitating easy arrangement. Players can adorn larger objects, such as shelves or tables, with smaller accessories that remain securely attached, even when the larger item is repositioned.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: Basic Mode, designed for simple and efficient organization, and Advanced Mode, tailored for those with a flair for creativity. Advanced Mode allows players to rotate objects across all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, enabling the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

A standout feature is the ability to scale objects, ensuring they suit different character sizes. This means gnomes can craft cozy, snug spaces, whereas larger races like tauren can design more expansive interiors. Additionally, certain new furniture pieces will support recoloring, although this feature may not extend to legacy assets.
As the release of Midnight is still several months away, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by continuously sharing teasers and updates, building anticipation for the future of World of Warcraft.
