Exclusive details about the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed Shadows have emerged online after an alleged artbook surfaced on... rather unexpected platforms, including a hub primarily known for adult content.
The revelation first appeared on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, where users discovered a comprehensive artbook titled "The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" making rounds across various online communities. This extensive collection features hundreds of pages showcasing concept designs, developer insights, and behind-the-scenes commentary about the next installment in the franchise.
While the leak itself is significant, what raised eyebrows was the Reddit post's claim that it originated from a hentai-focused website - an unusual source for gaming leaks to say the least. IGN has reached out to Ubisoft for official clarification regarding these developments.
The initial gallery has since been taken down from its original location, though copies have proliferated across various file-sharing platforms and digital archives.

The leaked materials reportedly showcase fascinating development concepts including interpretations of historical figures, architectural designs for major locations, and an array of weapon prototypes. The artwork also potentially reveals spoiler-heavy narrative elements, though these claims remain unverified until the game's official release. Based on images that have surfaced, the materials appear authentic.
This unexpected leak surfaces just months before Assassin's Creed Shadows' revised launch date of March 20, 2025, following an earlier postponement from its original 2024 release window.
During a recent hands-on preview event, IGN spoke with Shadows' game director Charles Benoit, who explained that the development extension primarily focused on refinement rather than major system overhauls. "We made some progression system adjustments to enhance engagement and improved certain balance aspects," Benoit noted, "but our primary focus was perfecting the parkour mechanics, which presented unique challenges given Feudal Japan's distinctive architecture."
"Japanese roof structures are incredibly intricate - easily the most complex terrain we've worked with compared to Odyssey or Syndicate," Benoit elaborated. "This required specialized coding solutions and custom animations to ensure smooth, fluid movement across these elaborate environments. We've made significant improvements over recent months in response to this feedback."
