Details on REPO's First Update
Duck Bucket to Counter the Duck

REPO's first update introduces a new map and a "duck bucket" to help players deal with the duck menace. Semiwork Studios posted a YouTube video on March 15 outlining their upcoming improvements.
REPO is an online cooperative horror game for up to six players, where teams must carefully extract and retrieve items in a terrifying setting. During gameplay, players might be stalked by The Apex Predator—a small yellow duck that, when harmed or picked up, transforms into a monstrous creature. It attacks players for ten seconds before reverting to its harmless form.
Soon, developers will add a "duck bucket" to trap the troublesome duck and prevent it from trailing players. This also helps teammates avoid accidentally triggering the duck's monster mode. The update also brings new facial expressions and various quality-of-life enhancements.
New Map: "The Museum" and Public Lobbies

Semiwork Studios has also announced a new map called "The Museum," designed to challenge players' parkour abilities. Extraction points will display a visible border to indicate whether loot is within the extraction zone.
Additionally, the team is developing public lobbies, taking player feedback into account. "Since most players are comfortable with matchmaking that includes both public and private hosting, along with a kick function, that's our current focus. For transparency, adding a kick button involves server-side coding, which is new territory for us," the developers explained.
However, Semiwork Studios acknowledged the technical challenges, so this feature may arrive later than expected.
Lethal Company Creator's Feedback on REPO
Since its February release, fans have drawn comparisons between REPO and the popular co-op horror game Lethal Company, noting similarities in mechanics and themes. On March 15, Lethal Company's creator, Zeekerss, offered constructive feedback, highlighting areas for future improvement.
He tweeted, "REPO is fun. Initially, I wasn't sure because the movement felt slow and the voice chat range was too limited. But collaborating with the team to maneuver a grand piano through a tight mansion without scratching it—that's a brilliantly humorous objective for a horror game." In the comments, he added, "I'll share more on Patreon, but top suggestions are: 1. Increase voice chat range and reduce muffling. 2. Expansive open areas don't fit the game's design well (similar to Phasmophobia); the cramped mansion layout is where it truly excels."

Responding to a comment about enemies approaching silently, Zeekerss noted, "Yes, there should be an in-game method to learn enemy behaviors, but I'm confident the developers are already planning that."
R.E.P.O. is the newest viral co-op horror game, available only on PC. Currently, it ranks as the second best-selling title on Steam, right behind Counter-Strike 2. According to SteamDB, it has attracted over 230,645 concurrent players, approaching Lethal Company's all-time peak of 240,817. For the latest updates on R.E.P.O., check out our article below!
